Does Shatterstone need an internet connection?
No. Shatterstone is offline-first and fully playable with no network connection. The only time it reaches the internet is a brief, optional check for a newer app version — and that check fails silently if you are offline, so it never gets in your way.
Does Shatterstone show ads or have in-app purchases?
No ads, and no in-app purchases. There is no subscription, no “Pro” tier, and no billing of any kind. Coins are an in-game soft currency you earn purely by playing — they cannot be bought with real money and have no monetary value.
What data does Shatterstone collect about me?
None. Shatterstone collects no personal data, runs no analytics or telemetry, and has no advertising. Everything you do — your level progress, scores, coins, boosters, and streaks — is stored only on your device and never leaves it. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my data?
All your data is stored locally on your device. Shatterstone does not use accounts or cloud sync, so nothing is stored on our servers.
To delete your data:
- iOS: Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Shatterstone > Delete App
- Android: Settings > Apps > Shatterstone > Storage > Clear Data
Uninstalling the app removes all data completely, including level progress, scores, coins, boosters, daily streaks, and museum records. There is no way to recover this data after deletion, and because nothing is synced to a server, there is no backup elsewhere.
I changed devices — can I move my progress?
Because Shatterstone stores everything locally and uses no accounts or cloud sync, progress does not automatically transfer between devices. Installing the app on a new device starts a fresh save. This is a deliberate trade-off of the offline-first, no-data design.
What is the “Check for updates” option in Settings?
It manually performs the same lightweight version check the app may do on its own: it fetches a small public file that lists the latest published version and tells you if a newer one is available. It sends nothing about you and works the same whether triggered automatically or by hand.
The app crashed or something is not working
We are sorry to hear that. Because Shatterstone has no automated crash reporting, the best way for us to fix an issue is for you to email us with a few details:
- Your device model and OS version
- The app version (found in Settings)
- A description of what happened and any steps to reproduce the issue
We take every report seriously and aim to respond within 48 hours.
